Mary Alice Gonzales, 91, a life long resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away at her home in Santa Fe, NM on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benigno and Andrellita Lucero Trujillo; her husband Isidro Gonzales; two brothers: Adonias and Nicholas Trujillo; and two sisters: Josefita Gonzales and Fedelina Lujan.
She is survived by four daughters: Viola Lorenzo and husband Mike of Commerce City, CO, Clorinda Martinez of Las Vegas, NM, Rose Marie Thornton and husband Robert of Santa Fe, NM, and Susie Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM.
She was born in Trementina, New Mexico on February 18, 1925. She retired as a seamstress supervisor at the New Mexico State Hospital for 25 years. Her hobbies included crocheting and sewing and going to the casinos.
Services will be held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church on Monday, March 7, 2016 beginning with a rosary at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. Cremation will follow and the burial will take place at a later date in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, Albuquerque Office,2625 Pennsylvania NE, #225, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
