Jimmy (Shorty) Griego, 37, a resident of Ribera, NM passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfonso Griego; paternal grandparents: Max and Josefita Griego and his maternal grandparents Joe and Theresa Romero. He is survived by his mother, Connie Griego Romero of Ribera, NM; a daughter, Leanna Griego of Albuquerque, NM; and two brothers: Ignacio Griego and wife, Shar and Ambrose Rivera and Angelique all of Ribera, NM, and other relatives.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. Services will be held from the Immaculate Conception Church on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 with a rosary at 8:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. The interment will follow in the San Miguel del Vado Cemetery in San Miguel, NM with the following relatives serving as casket bearers: Ambrose Rivera, Ignacio Griego, Johnny Romero, Isaac Montano, Matthew Montano, and Ernest Griego.
